Making Connection's!

 Hey Bloggers,

Last Week, We were Making Connections with our Prior Knowledge to What we read in the book. What my class read was about Nurses, Animals and Hero's that saved lives during WW1. The most important thing we were learning about was Nurses because Nurses have been saving a lot of lives but also risking their lives for Soldiers. We also have been learning about Soldiers a lot and what they did to survive and what they did to save their Country.

Our Teacher (Mr Edwards) asked us a lot of Questions like for example - What was care needed for?, What care was given?, What risks were involved?, What are some Connections with our Prior Knowledge and more.

If you ever read a Journal, Book or Movie, Use the Questions above or Think about What are some connections to What you already know.

If you can read this, Thanks 4 actually reading my BLOG and Paying attention! :)

Nurses in War!

 Hi Blogger's,

Today My Class made Thank you Cards for the Nurses, Soldiers, etc, for supporting all the Soldiers in War. After Reading the text, We had to imagined that we were Soldiers and in my opinion, I think that the Nurses worked really hard because they only had 3 day's off and only have half day's leave. Just a Big Thank you to all the Nurses in WW1.

This is my Thank you Card that I made.

What's your Opinion about Nurses?

The Mt Vesuvius Eruption!

Hi Blogger's,

This Week and Last Week, My Class had to make a Presentation about War. I'm in a Group with Katana, Sydney and Payton - Check out their Blogs! We were thinking what other things happened during WW1, We just said Volcanoes for some reason but then we researched it, it was true and so we decided to do Volcanoes.

We wanted to make a Volcano and so just have a look at our Planning Below! It has What Mount Vesuvius is, Materials we need and the Method.

Facts about Mt Vesuvius:

Mt Vesuvius and Monte Somma merged together when Mt Vesuvius erupted.
- The people of Pompeii didn’t realise that they were living next to a Volcano.
- Before 79AD (there was no name for the Mountain).
- It's still active and can erupt anytime.
- Two Volcanoes created Mt Vesuvius.
- Believe it or not, It even rained elephants (Figuratively not literally), It began 2,000 years ago, It shot tons of Volcanic debris into the air, Which it rained down upon the surrounding towns. If your wondering how many debris was scattered, It was the equivalent to 250,000 elephants per second.

24 Hour Footprint!

 Hey Everyone,

On May 21st My Class did a 24 Hour Digital Footprint, We Define some words and find an online and offline example on Slide 2. We had to predict what the last 10 Sites that we were on then actually put on our last 10 Sites on Slide 3 and last but not least, Slide 4 was a Video from Phil Margetts on What we were supposed to do. I don't really think there was a Challenge for me because I've learn't Majority of this from my Teacher - Mr Edwards.

If you have any Question's, Tell me in the Comments Below!

Visualising What War was like!

 Hey Blogger's,

Last Week in Room 5 We were Visualising What War was like. We had to get into our Focus groups, Read the Text and the Boss for each day get's to ask us Question's about the Text or Article we Read and Visualize it in your head or Write it down onto your Document. We also had to find Figurative Language, The 5 Senses, Descriptive Words and had to Write "What did we Visualize?"

If you have any Question's, Go to the Comments Below!

Empathising with Character's!

Hey Blogger's,

Today's post is about Empathising with Character's, for example - Understand and Share feeling's of another.

Me and My Class Read Journal's and Watched Video's to understand the feeling of what they felt in the story. We learn't many things like the Spanish-flu and The 2009 Tsunami in Samoa. We had to find out why they were feeling that way and had to find clues about it. I'd say Me and my Groups Challenging part was What showed the Expression of what she what feeling that time.

Israeli's VS Palestine!

Greetings Blogger's,

My Class this Term is learning about Civil War, Revolutionary War and others. Last month we went into our Focus Groups and Learn't about the Civil War between Israel and the Palestine. We had to find facts about the two cultures by watching video's, Going on Websites, Reading News articles and more. My Class also did a Debate on Who was right about How the War started and the Majority was on the Israeli's.

Tell me your Opinion between the Palestinian's and the Israeli's!

Room 5 Steel-pan

 Hey Blogger's,

On Wednesday 2 June (Which was a long time ago for me Posting this now), Me and My Class had a fun day at the Whanau Hui. My Class had a couple of weeks to learn this song called In the air by L.A.B. It was really fun when we got to play the Steel-Pan drums but there would be a time when it starts to get boring, It was also really hard to learn this Song because we would get confused when it's your part or to transition it to someone else.

Thank you Tish and Mr Sa for Teaching us and for taking your time to do this for us.

What Song should we do next?
